Course Aims
The aim of this course is to help parents address difficulties encountered due to the separation, both as individuals as well as parents. This programme tackles specific themes with the purpose of safeguarding the children’s interests at the forefront of the training. One of the biggest hurdles for separated parents to overcome is how to better the communication between them in order to ensure that the needs of the children are always their top-most priority. The course participants also have room to talk about the impact that the separation has on their lives and are also given the opportunity to learn how to take better care of themselves.
The ultimate aim of this programme is for parents to help their children understand the separation process, both on the emotional and practical levels and to better the communication of both parents with their children and with the other parent, for everyone’s best interest.
All past participants who attended these group sessions recount the immense help they received – not only do they learn new skills and expand their knowledge on their children’s needs, but they also find support from professionals and meet other individuals who are going through a similar experience.
Whoever is interested in attending the programme will go through a screening process where the goals the participant wishes to reach are discussed.
